Meet the Creators of
Jelly the Jellyfish Shark
Two sisters. One big imagination. A story the ocean will never forget.
Savannah (8) and Delilah (6) are sisters, best friends, and now - published authors!
The idea for Jelly the Jellyfish Shark was born during a regular day at the beach.
Just as they were about to run into the waves, their dad jokingly said,
"Watch out for the jellyfish shark!"
They stopped in their tracks, wide-eyed.
"Wait... is that real?!"
And from that one silly moment, their imaginations exploded.
By the end of the day, they had created Jelly — a part-jellyfish, part-shark character who just wanted to make friends, be brave, and find where she belonged.
Savannah loves writing stories, reading books, and creating things that make people smile.
Delilah loves drawing, exploring, and coming up with wild ocean characters while bouncing on the trampoline. They both love gymnastics and ice skating.
With a little help from their dad (and a LOT of snacks), they turned their idea into a real book — and Jelly has been swimming into hearts ever since.
What Jelly Means to Us
After creating Jelly, Savannah and Delilah knew they had something special — a character that could help other kids feel seen, brave, and proud of who they are.
Savannah
We wanted to make a story about someone who’s different but still good.
Even if people are scared of you at first, you can still be kind and show them who you really are.
Delilah
She’s a jellyfish and a shark, and that’s what makes her awesome.
The Adventures Are Just Beginning…
Savannah and Delilah are already dreaming up new underwater stories — with mermaids, sea monsters, and new jellyfish shark friends.
